Polycom’s Global Fulfillment Program allows us as a Polycom Certified Channel Partner to provide you with locally warranted and localized product that is shipped directly to most locations worldwide. This is not gray market Polycom products but are as good and as legitimate as if you bought them at the store next door. We are usually able to save you lots of money due to our deeper discounts and US Dollar pricing. Thus regardless whether you are in Europe/Middle East/Africa, Asia, Central or South America, China or Japan (those are Polycom's regions) we can provide you not only with Polycom hardware but also with local Polycom service and support and even local on-site installation.
Example:
Global Interactive Solutions, LLC worked with a global law firm to provide them with dozens of new Polycom HDX videoconferencing endpoints. The customer issues one purchase order but specified that we deliver the product to both their US domestic and locations all over the world. We handled the rest. Using Polycom’s Global Fulfillment program we placed the purchase order through our regular Polycom channels. Polycom took care of the rest and shipped the product directly to i.e. their offices in Frankfurt, Shanghai, Mexico City, London, Paris, Tokyo etc. Each office received a locally warranted product with the local language remote control and power cord backed by local technical support. The customer paid less than if he had purchased the products locally, has one vendor, and all products were on-site within 2 weeks of placing the order.
Advantages of Polycom’s Global Fulfillment Program:
> While you can change the user interface of your i.e. Polycom HDX product to currently 17 different languages at any time by selecting it in the user menu at installation or at any point thereafter there are advantages to having a local product.
> Product comes with a local warranty and is identical to the product that you could buy in country.
> Fully supported by Polycom’s local technical support if available. That means an in-country telephone number to call for technical support.
< Localized product means the remote control comes in your language.
> Most of Polycom’s video and network solutions contain auto-sensing and auto switching universal power supplies (100 to 240 Volts / 50Hz or 60Hz), however, in addition you will also receive the local power cord with the appropriate power plug and if required a localize power supply
Polycom does charge a per order global fulfillment ex-works shipping fee. However, that small fee is usually offset by our lower pricing if compared with local pricing and is very marginal for larger orders. Polycom charges this fee to make your entire order available via Global Interactive Solutions, LLC for pickup by your freight forwarder or carrier such as UPS, FedEx, DHL.
You will have to pay for the shipping cost from Polycom’s distribution warehouse at 25212 Schulte Road, Tracy, CA 95377 (for Latin America) or from Rotterdam (Europe), Thailand (Asia), to your destination including any duties, tariffs or taxes that the destination country imposes upon arrival at customs.
You must provide your international account # of your carrier of choice as well as the country where the shipping account is registered. We will provide a commercial invoice to assist with customs clearance. However, all shipping charges and customs clearance are your responsibility – however, most carriers such as UPS / FedEx etc. will handle this for you from pickup to delivery. Additional shipping options are available which include i.e. duties, delivery all the way pre-paid to the destination location. Exact fees for delivery and duties depend on the destination country.
